In the recent wake of data breaches and cyber attacks among different organisations, Carey Group has introduced a policy requiring all staff are required to change their passwords for their accounts, as well as their computers.

This process can take up to 15 minutes, so please choose a convenient time to make the change.


New password requirements;

  • At least 8 characters long but 14 or more is better.

  • A combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

  • Not a word that can be found in a dictionary or the name of a person, character, product, or organisation.

  • Significantly different from your previous password.

  • Easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess. Consider using a memorable phrase like "6MonkeysRLooking^", but not this example.

Resetting your Google and Microsoft password

To reset your password, please follow the steps below.


1. Click this link.


2. Sign in using your normal details.


3. Click on "Change Password"


4. Type in your old password, then type in your new one. See the top of this FAQ for the requirements.


5. Sign back into all your accounts on your devices.


Resetting your computer password

To reset your password, please follow the steps below.


1. Click on the Apple in the top left of your screen, then click System Settings/Preferences.

MacOS Monterey Users


1. Click on Users & Groups.


2. Make sure your user is selected, the click Change Password.


3. Type in your previous computer password, and then type in the new one you created earlier. When done, click Change Password.



MacOS Ventura Users


1. Search for Users & Groups, then click the i next to your login.


2. Click Change Password.


3. Type in your previous computer password, and then type in the new one you created earlier. When done, click Change Password.
